Texas Pure Clean traces its roots back to 1990 in Boca Raton, Florida. Back then, the roof cleaning industry didn't look like it does today. Most cleaning was done with high pressure, aggressive scraping, or methods that worked fine for concrete but were brutal on shingles, tile, and coated metal. There had to be a better way.

We were in the middle of developing one of the frontiers of the soft-spray roof cleaning system — a low-pressure, chemistry-based approach that let the cleaning solution do the lifting instead of raw water force. The idea was simple: clean the roof without destroying it in the process. That concept, refined through hundreds of jobs in South Florida, became the foundation of the work we still do today.

What Soft-Spray Roof Cleaning Actually Changed

The soft-spray approach changed the conversation about roof cleaning. Before it, homeowners and property managers had to choose between a dirty roof and a potentially damaged one. Pressure washing and scraping could remove the visible stain, but they also removed granules, loosened mortar, and left roofs in worse shape than before they were cleaned.

Soft-spray cleaning uses low-pressure application — garden-hose pressure in many cases — and a solution matched to the specific roof material.
