Construction Cleaning for SpaceX: A Six-Month Story in Brownsville

SpaceX called Texas Pure Clean when they needed construction cleaners in Brownsville. We built a program that ran day and night shifts — up to 60 people per shift — for nearly six months, and delivered every phase from windows to floors to fixtures.

When SpaceX needed construction cleaners at their Brownsville site, they called Texas Pure Clean. One phone call kicked off a six-month project that would push everything we do — logistics, staffing, safety, and pure production — to a level very few cleaning companies in Texas can match.

The Call That Started It

The message was simple: "We are building SpaceX down here in Brownsville, and we need construction cleaners down here." I drove down, walked the site, and put together a plan on the ground — how many people, what phases, what equipment, what shifts. Within days we were staffed up and moving.

At full production we ran day shift and night shift, with as many as 60 people on each shift. Coordinating a workforce that large — checking in, staging supplies, moving between areas without slowing down other trades — is a job by itself. We handled it, and we kept it running for nearly six months.

Every Phase of Construction Cleaning

SpaceX put us in charge of everything on the premises. That meant every phase of construction cleaning, including:

• Rough cleans between trades so the next crew could work in a safe, dust-controlled space
• Detail window cleaning inside and out — frames, tracks, and glass
• Hard floor cleaning: concrete, tile, and finished surfaces prepared for turnover
• Fixtures, restrooms, break areas, and stainless detail
• Final punch cleaning so each area was truly ready to be delivered

If it was on the property, it was our responsibility to clean it and make sure it was ready to hand over.

Why They Kept Us There

SpaceX runs on schedule. Construction cleaning is not a nice-to-have on a project like that — it is the difference between hitting a turnover date and missing it. We hit our dates. We were so consistent that we were nearly awarded the ongoing janitorial contract for the facility after construction wrapped.
